Summary: The building itself is beautiful and spacious. We were a little surprised that there was no dock. While the dry part of the beach was sandy, the river bottom was quite muddy and very difficult to walk in without getting stuck in the mud, so that a dock would have been appropriate. The BBQ scrubber was completely worn out and not useable. The strong rotten egg smell of the sulphate in the water was a big issue and a show stopper for us, I’m afraid. Such a shame, because the cottage itself was so lovely.
