Positive: It's perfectly located at one of the best beaches of Khao Lak, with clear water and close to zero other tourists (it's mostly hotel guests on those beach). Pretty big resort with loads of rooms, some of them with private pool access. It's a very new resort (1 year old only), which makes it appealing if you look for clean and new standards. The breakfast buffet was outstanding with a LOT of variety (Western, Thai, Indian), with FRESH juices (unlike other hotels).

Negative: For my taste, a bit too big resort (but it's Marriott after all...). Also, there were a LOT of kids/families, so if you like an adult only place, this is not the one to choose. Of course, there are options to chill out without kids noise (they have a special quiet pool, which is super nice). But the main big pool at the beach front was crowded with kids, despite having a separate kids pool/play area (which nobody used). Prices are on the very high end for what you get (for Thai Standards). Watch out for the rooms with private pool access: The water in there is cold and many rooms are located away from the sun, so cold water paired with no sun. These rooms are not worth the extra money in my opinion.
