Spectacular location right by the pier in Beaverton harbour , with direct waterfront on the harbour . Stunning views of (and direct access to ) the crystal clear waters of Lake Simcoe with its warm shallow waters and infinite sand bars …the swimming is fabulous …. Bring a kayak or a paddle board and launch it outside your front door …. The sand beach is only about 15 meters away ! …. Located right at Beaverton Harbour’s beach and park , this boathouse has the added benefit of having not one but two balconies … yes , dual balconies …! Choose between overlooking the lake and beach / park on one side or enjoy the beautiful Beaverton Harbour waters on the other side of the boathouse !! . Relax watching the boats go by or cast a line right off the balcony ! The sunsets are second to none , even locals flock to the harbour to walk the pier at sundown , taking in all the splendour of the sun setting over Lake Simcoe .or you can watch it from the comfort and vantage point of your own private balcony …. You can watch the kids enjoy the park and splash pad from that same private balcony …. It’s only across the laneway , only a few meters away … this location really can’t be beat !! We are surrounded by beautiful parkland and with it being just a short stroll into town for amenities, this place is indeed a little slice of paradise an hour from Toronto ! But there is a whole other season that has people coming from miles around …. The ice fishing season . Anglers from all over Canada and indeed from the US as well flock to Beaverton for the renowned ice fishing located here . The long established ice fishing business sets up each year as it has for decades , at the end of the laneway less than 100 meters from our door , offering hut rentals , transport to and from hits and of course bait sales . It’s all a one minute stroll away from your front door. Bring a sled and hit the trails . The list of activities are seemingly endless . Stroll to Fine dining in town , or take a walk to the liquor store . Tim Hortons just a minutes drive out on the hwy that passes town , where you will also find familiar things like Mac Donald’s and A and W . The living quarters , located on the upper floor (above the wet slip boat docking ) , feature a fully stocked kitchen , with all needed cookware ( pots and pans ) and dishes ( including wine glasses ) and cutlery too ! Appliances , beyond the fridge and gas stove , include a microwave , blender , toaster and air fryer and also a drip coffee maker along with a Kuerig , plus an electric kettle ! We supply most things needed for your stay , such as clean linens and clean bath ( and face / hand ) towels along with standard consumables like salt and pepper / some common spices . Toiletries ( basic) are supplied …including pump dispensed hand soap . There is a washer and dryer in the entrance foyer that is available to longer term guests . We aim to please , we do our best to accomodate our guests in a clean and comfortable enviornment . The living quarters themselves , while smaller , are well laid out and fully functional …. the space works well for singles , couples and in some instances , couples with a small child . It has a window air conditioner which does keep the space cool in hot summer weather , and a gas furnace on the ground level keeps everyone reliably warm all winter long . In a nutshell , this is a little slice of paradise . A modest “cottage style “

This is truly a unique offering , rarely does one come across such a soothing rejuvenating lakefront enviornment as this harbour locale presents in nice weather . And in colder temperatures , well this is the central hub for ice fishing in southern Ontario . And the proximity to great sledding is incomparable . Locals build several accessible rinks on the lake every year too ! Activities abound . And when it’s time to come in for a hot drink , curl up in front of the big screen tv and enjoy the offerings from bell satellite tv . Or just curl up with a good book .
